Exploring Trait, Leader Member and Situational Leadership Theories
Presented by: Dr. Jodi Hallsten Lyczak

Dr. Hallsten Lyczak will cover a trifecta of leadership considerations:

  • Trait Leadership Theory – Re-imagined (5 traits that have consistently arisen in the leadership theories and discussing how they can be learned)
  • Leader Member Exchange Theory – The notion that leaders subconsciously create in-groups and out-groups through their communication, how that affects employees and the organization, and how leaders need to be cognizant of it
  • Situational Leadership Theory – This theory argues that leaders must take into consideration two kinds of leadership behaviors – supportive behaviors (relationship based) and directive behaviors (task based) as they choose to be more or less directive in their leadership based on their followers’ commitment to, and competence in, a particular task
Lunch Menu

Canadian back pork chops with Roasted red potatoes, with vegetables, salad and dessert.

Vegetarian Option – Grilled vegetable plate with salad and dessert.
