Violence Prevention and Preparedness Presented by

Aaron Woodruff, Chief of Police, ISU

FBI statistics and anecdotal new reports confirm there has been an increase in mass violence incidents (active shooter attacks) in recent years.

However, reporting after the fact indicates there are always warning signs prior to these incidents which were missed or ignored by those closest to the attacker.  These behaviors of concern offer an opportunity to intervene and help prevent violence.

This one hour discussion will briefly cover pre-incident indicators, responding to threats of violence, and in the event prevention fails, provide you with response options when confronted with a violent attack.

Menu: Chicken Modiga with Garlic Smashed Potatos (or Lasagna Roll Ups - Vegetarian), with Salad & Dessert
