MEMBERSHIP / JOIN BNHRC

BNHRC is an individual membership organization. While BNHRC is an affiliated chapter with the world's largest HR professional society, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), membership in BNHRC is separate and apart from membership in SHRM. In other words, a SHRM membership is not required to be a BNHRC member or vice versa. But, we do encourage membership in both organizations!

Who should join BNHRC? Membership in BNHRC is open to any individual who currently works in or has an interest in the human resource profession. Our current members include individuals from all over Central Illinois with a variety of titles and responsibilities including (but certainly not limited to): President / CEO, Chief HR Officer, Vice President of HR, HR Manager, HR Generalist, Supervisor, Administrator, Representative, Coordinator, Consultant, Office Manager, Legal Counsel, Business Owner, Employee Relations Specialist, HRIS Specialist, Benefits Consultant, Payroll Specialist, Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist, and Compensation Analyst. 

    MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

    At BNHRC, our mission is to connect the local HR community with resources to stay current and compliant, gain connections, grow professionally and give back. As a member, you'll develop a network that will help you in many ways and have access to member benefits such as:

      • 11 monthly luncheons per year, including programs that qualify for both HRCI and SHRM re-certification credits. Cost of lunches are included in membership dues. Guests are charged $25.00 to attend each meeting, excluding the Annual Law Update at which guests are charged $50.00.
      • In addition to monthly luncheons, we offer various networking opportunities and social activities throughout the year (like after hours events, community volunteer activities, and book clubs) 
      • Annual Law Update in February (this is an extended meeting)
      • Discounted rate to attend the annual Central IL HR Leadership Conference
      • Opportunities to volunteer or serve on committees to determine the future direction of our chapter
      • Post HR jobs on our website for free
      • Member-only resources available on our website, such as access to past presentations, a membership directory and online forum to reach out to your local HR peers with questions or ideas

    MEMBERSHIP DUES

    Annual membership dues shall become due and payable on or before January 31 of the year to which such dues apply. Annual membership is for one calendar year. For partial-year membership beginning July 1, dues are prorated for the remainder of the year. New members shall be afforded full membership rights as of January 1 or the date of application/payment submission, whichever is later.

    Membership Dues:

      • Annual Membership (effective January 1– December 31) - $185.00
      • Partial-year Membership (effective July 1–December 31) - $100.00

    MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

    To apply for or renew membership, please submit online payment by following the on-screen prompts during the application. If you do not have payment ready at time of application, an invoice will be sent to the email address provided. You may return to the website to complete payment online (preferred) or send a check in the mail with a copy of the invoice to:
