Meeting Topic: Unlocking the Potential of the Veteran and Military Spouse Workforce

    • 11:50 AM - Login to webinar (a Microsoft Teams link will be sent a day prior to the event; join on a device with or without a camera; there will be a call-in feature)
    • 11:55 AM - Announcements + speaker introductions 
    • 12:00 - 1:00 PM - Presentation followed by Q&A


    About the presentation:


    The presentation will include the following topics:

    -Understanding the employment barriers, challenges, AND assets of the military community as well as the different employment needs of veterans and military spouses.

    -Becoming familiar with the current employment trends related to the military community including unemployment rates for veterans and military spouses.

    -Learning to articulate the employment business case for hiring from the military community.

    -Learning best practices across the employee lifecycle, applying HR strategies to military-connected employees.


    Anyone can attend in place of an active BNHRC member. Guests are also welcomed to attend. The guest fee is $15 and must be paid by the registration deadline.
