We are excited to share Bloomington Area Career Center (BACC) will once again host their annual Student Mock Interview event in 2023! You are receiving this email because you have assisted with this event in the past, are a valued partner of the BACC, or have expressed interest in volunteering for this event. Participant feedback continues to show this program helps both students and interviewers hone their interviewing skills. So many of you have expressed how enriching and satisfying this volunteer experience has been for you. We appreciate your support in making this program a big success from year to year!

Mock Interview Sign-up

We are planning to offer in-person mock interviews to approximately 450 students March 13 – March 17, 2023. In order to do this, we need your help! If you are able to participate in the 2023 mock interviews with the BACC, use the SignUp Genius Link to select the date/times you are able to volunteer by Tuesday January 31, 2023. This year we have three sign up blocks with two interviews taking place in each block. As such, please only sign up if you are available for the entire time block. We encourage you to sign up early as spots will fill up quickly!

You do not need to have an account with signupgenius.com to volunteer, but it does help if you need to update or cancel any of your scheduled times. State Farm employees, please enter your work email and address in the form as we will use this to send correspondence.

· Event Date: March 13 – March 17, 2023

· Time: 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each day

· Location: Bloomington High School Auditorium (1202 E Locust St, Bloomington)

 

Mock Interview Training & Resources

Online training sessions will be offered on the below dates. You will receive four invites (one for each session) but only need to attend one as the same content will be offered in each. Following training, you will receive interviewing resources for your use during the event. There are also interviewing resources available that can help you prepare.

· Tuesday, February 28; 10:00-11:00 a.m. or 1:00-2:00 p.m.

· Wednesday, March 1; 10:00-11:00 a.m. or 1:00-2:00 p.m.
